I remember back in high school; I would be obsessed with basketball. I would play before school, after school, during lunch and during basketball class.

This was my outlet, managing all my stresses and getting my well needed endorphins.

We all need our outlets and we all need our ways to express how we are feelings in all our little passions. Everything that we find joy in can be our own little outlet.

A question you can ask yourself is, “What do you find joy in and how does that make you feel when you do that thing?” How does that effect your mood and your mindset?

Sometimes when you want to feel less stressed, you need to be intentional about what you do with your time. This could mean going out with a friend to your favorite coffee shop, going to the cider mill or even going to the gym.

Whatever brings you joy and excitement, chase after that. Only you are responsible for your mental health and managing your stress.

As you can tell by reading this, mental health is one of my biggest interests as it is relevant in modern society. I am excited to share my other interests such as, my own life experiences, opinions, sports, world events and arts. My name is Jesse and I am a new member of The Lookout staff.
