The gymnasium in LCC’s Gannon Building will reopen just in time for the spring semester.
According to LCC Athletic Director Greg Lattig, the gym will open on Monday, Jan. 9.
“They’ve made a few changes to our gym, including new LED lighting, water fillers and a brand new HVAC system,” Lattig said. “The floor will get resurfaced in the summer.”
Lattig expressed his excitement for the reopening of the gym.
“It is a beautiful facility that we like to call home,” Lattig said. “It serves its purpose well for our teams, so (we) can't wait to get back; especially with the parking ramp open now.”
Lattig said the home games for the LCC men’s and women’s basketball teams will be held on campus once the gym is opened.
The first home game back in the Gannon gym will be Wednesday, Jan. 11th at 7:30 p.m., when he men’s basketball team will face Grand Rapids Community College.
