This week, I visited Detroit Wing Company and got some takeout for myself and my boyfriend. Detroit Wing Company is known for delicious chicken wings, as well as unique and yummy sauces and rubs.

Detroit Wing Company has two locations near in the Lansing area. There is an East Lansing location at 437 E. Grand River Ave., and a south Lansing location at 6527 S. Cedar St.

Both share the same hours: Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

My boyfriend and I got the 10-piece meal, which comes with 10 chicken wings (boneless or bone-in), a choice of up to two sauces for them, and some fries. Guests can add flavor to their fries for a little bit extra, which I did. I added Cajun seasoning.

I tried the Firecracker and Honey Chipotle sauces with my Cajun fries. I wasn’t too impressed with the flavor of the Firecracker, but Honey Chipotle was delicious and definitely became one of my new go-to orders.

Next time I go, however, I definitely want to try DWC’s different dry rubs, as the Cajun fries were to die for! Truly, these are the best fries I have had in a really long time. Although I did pay extra to add Cajun seasoning, it was so worth it. They were crispy, oily and extremely flavorful.

I would highly recommend this place, and definitely try some seasoning on your fries. It’s worth it!

I will dock a point because I really did not like the Firecracker sauce and did not finish the five chicken wings that had the sauce on it.
