Four out of Five Stars

I do not know why, but I have been addicted to Hispanic food lately. With that being said, I had the opportunity to try Taquero Mucho, and I was definitely impressed.

Taquero Mucho is a local taco truck located at 2408 S. Cedar St. in Lansing. It has a larger menu than I expected for a taco truck, ranging from tacos and nachos to Esquite street corn and menudo.

I placed my order over the phone and the man I spoke to was nice. He said to give him about 15 minutes and the food would be ready, and it was.

I always wanted to try birria tacos and they were available, so that is what I ordered. It came with a side of rice and beans as well as the consome in which to dip the tacos.

The three birria taco dinner cost me $14.83, before I left a tip.

The person handing me my order was especially thankful for the tip and verbally let me know it. I appreciated how easy it was to order and the nice service that I received.

After driving 10 minutes with my food to the place I was going to eat, the food was still extremely hot.

The rice was amazing and the birria tacos with the consome was good as well. My expectations of the tacos were different than what I tasted, but they were still good. I was expecting them to have a little more flavor or spice, but they were not spicy at all.

Eating these tacos got very messy, but thankfully they provided napkins.

If you are not a big fan of cheese you may not like these tacos, but I thoroughly enjoyed fighting the cheese with every bite.

The meal was filling and I didn’t eat anything for the rest of the day.

Overall, I would give the food and experience four stars out of five. I never had birria tacos before, so my expectations were based off an assumption. But if the tacos had a little spice added to them, they would have been perfect.

I will be returning to this taco truck to try the other items on the menu. I would say Taquero Mucho is one of the better Hispanic places to get Mexican food from in Lansing.
