This week, I am reviewing the brand new Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant.
Raising Cane’s is a popular chain restaurant from the southern United States. It recently opened its very first restaurant in Michigan at 301 E. Grand River Ave. in East Lansing.
The restaurant is open Sunday to Wednesday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Thursday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. The restaurant has walk-up, pick-up, delivery and dine-in options, although it is fast food, so do not expect anything fancy.
To try their fastest service, I ordered a pick-up at 5:10 p.m. as I was leaving from the LCC Dental Hygiene Clinic. I was told it would be ready at 5:20. I doubted this, but when I pulled up at 5:18 and went up to the walk-up window on the side of the building, my order was ready.
This is mainly surprising because Raising Cane’s has had lines wrapping around its building over the last few weekends, so I was worried it would not be as quick as usual.
Raising Cane’s does not offer much. Customers can get a chicken sandwich or chicken fingers as combo options. These combos can include fries, toast or coleslaw.
I got a chicken sandwich combo with fries with a few chicken fingers on the side and a couple of extra Raising Cane sauces (an original sauce made by the company).
It was phenomenal. I compare all chicken sandwiches to Popeye’s amazing chicken sandwich, and this one definitely stacked up, especially layered with the Raising Cane sauce.
I also really liked the basic chicken fingers. They have a really thin but tasty fried skin and taste like genuine chicken, not the nasty stuff from McDonald’s.
I was really impressed with my meal. The place is definitely entering into my rotation of late-night, fast-food dining.
