New staff hopes to hear from readers
From The Lookout Staff
As a new team of reporters for The Lookout this fall, we are inspired to find the best news stories and events to share with our school and community.
This year, one of our top goals is to reach a broader audience. Many students and some staff are unaware that The Lookout is our independent college newspaper.
We want to provide an easily accessable, and reliable news source for the teachers, staff, students and everyone else. The Lookout is always free to access here.
There are not many independent papers anymore. Most journalists do not get a whole say in what is covered and published.
We need to take advantage of that! We are asking our LCC community to let us know about stories or events they would like to see covered.
We want more collaboration between The Lookout and the student body. We can write about art, music, science, sports and new clubs; anything that students want to share through this collaborative resource of information.
It is just a matter of reaching out to us! As an independent newspaper, we want people to allow themselves be heard and speak up on matters which they find important.
The staff at The Lookout looks forward to bringing the community exciting stories, reviews and news on this vitally important upcoming election. And we are hoping to hear from our public audience about what matters to them.
