Editorial: MSU players way out of line
From The Lookout Staff
Michigan State University has made the spotlight for the wrong reasons once again.
Over the past weekend, rivals MSU and the University of Michigan played their annual football game at Michigan Stadium, with the Wolverines coming out on top 29-7.
Though, the battle did not end on the field.
Several players on MSU’s football team were seen jumping a Michigan player in the tunnel, Ja’Den McBurrows, after the game.
There was also a second altercation reported of another Michigan player being assaulted that resulted in a possible broken nose.
Although it has yet to be revealed what started the altercations, we at The Lookout do not agree with the actions displayed by the Michigan State University team.
The fight should stay on the field, and good sportsmanship should be displayed from both sides, whether they win or lose.
MSU Football Coach Mel Tucker has reported that four players involved in said incident have been suspended until further notice, following a pending investigation.
At The Lookout, we believe that all players involved should be held accountable for their actions and suspended for the rest of the season.
