The Career and Employment Services department at LCC will be hosting a professional clothing drive in which faculty and staff can donate clean and gently worn professional pieces.

Suit jackets, dresses, dress pants, skirts, shirts, ties, dress shoes and more are being accepted.

Clothing can be dropped off at the Career Center, located in the Gannon Building in room 2219, between Sept. 19 and Oct. 7. Donations will be accepted during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to LCC Internship Development Manager Becca Sowa, students will be able to retrieve the pieces donated by staff, free of charge, during “pop-up shops” from Nov. 7 to 18.

LCC student Kortez Pillar said she appreciates the effort from the employees.

“I think it’s a cool thing for the staff to do,” Pillar said. “I look forward to the pop-up shops to check out the clothing.”

For more information or questions regarding the clothing drive or pop-up shop, contact Becca Sowa at stierr@lcc.edu or (517) 483-9810.
