Chloe's Chat: Big Thanksgiving plans

I have been using and loving Hello Fresh, an ingredient and recipe delivery box, for over a month now.

As someone who loves trying new things and hates the idea of “meal-planning” with only one or two meals per week, Hello Fresh just made sense. I get to have my variety without it costing an insane amount, like if I were going out every day.

One unexpected thing that happened because of Hello Fresh is my newfound love for cooking. Every single day I cook in some way. I’ve been making muffins, cupcakes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. Everything and anything that needs to be cooked in the house, I’m on it.

Just yesterday I made jumbo dog muffins for my 1-year-old pit bull’s birthday. I have been really loving it!

And I am so excited because this upcoming Saturday, I am hosting all of my friends over for a “Friendsgiving,” during which we will all bring yummy food to eat, and use my parents’ hot tub (thanks Mom and Dad!).

I am planning on cooking truffle butter mashed potatoes, roasted feta carrots, garlic bread and some sort of Cornish hen for the main part of dinner. It is going to be delicious.

And this will all happen the day after I attend Silver Bells in the City in Lansing on Friday, Nov. 18, which I’m also super psyched for! It is going to be a super fun weekend filled with friends. Hopefully I don’t have any exams next week. …
