The Big Cheezy Grill food truck will be posting up on the downtown LCC campus on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the end of the spring semester.

“We do different grilled cheese sandwiches, loaded nachos and our popular loaded mac bowls,” said Christal Epps, owner of Big Cheezy. “None of our ingredients go to waste. We make sure that we utilize every plant and animal product to the fullest.”

Students can view the menu online to see the variety of specialty grilled cheeses, hot dogs, nachos and loaded fries. Every sandwich will come with a pickle and side of chips. Refreshments, including water and soda, are available.

“I wanted to do big portions for an affordable price,” Epps said. “Everything offered is between $5 and $10.

“Anyone can order a plain kid’s portion grilled cheese for $5. I would like to do more seasonal specialty sandwiches in the future.”

Epps said her business started with making grilled cheese at home for her kids. She said she wanted to do something she has always had a love and passion for – cooking – while setting a good example for her children and making restaurant-quality sandwiches that everyone can afford.

Students can stop by the campus mall and grab something hot and cheezy for the remainder of the spring semester. After the semester, check for Big Cheezy Grill’s next location on the Facebook page.
