Looking for a way to commemorate your upcoming graduation? The LCC Photo Club is hosting a cap and gown photo event for LCC students graduating this spring, and the only thing you need to bring is your cap and gown.
The event will take place on Friday, May 3, from noon to 6 p.m. in studio B, or room 1412, in the Gannon Building next to the Black Box Theatre. There are three photo packages that students can choose from.
Package 1 will include one or two photos and will cost $10. Package 2 will include three to five photos at a cost of $12. And package 3 will allow for other people along with the graduating student and four to six photos at a price of $15. All proceeds will go to future Photo Club event and T-shirt funds.
Photography Department Chair and Photo Club Adviser Ike Lea said this completely student-organized event is a great new opportunity for all students involved.
“It’s kind of a cool thing from both sides,” Lea said. “The students are getting some experience, they’re doing a little fund raising for Photo Club, and any LCC graduate can get a really low-cost head and shoulder head shot in their cap and gown. It’s nice. It’s a nice opportunity.”
