Located in Lansing’s Old Town district, Thrift Witch offers a selection of antiques, oddities and collectables.

Thrift Witch can be found at 108 César E. Chávez Ave. It is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Thrift Witch is a thrift store and consignment shop featuring many Michigan artists, according to owner Tiesha King, who opened her store in 2018.

“It’s a gothic thrift store, but we’re also a consignment shop, so we work with 40 different artists and makers; all Michigan makers,” King said. “So (there are) a lot of spooky artists that maybe don’t get a lot of views except for around Halloween, but here we give them space all year.”

Known for gothy thrift finds, unique antiques and cool collectables, Thrift Witch started because of the interest in local artists.

“I am also an event coordinator for the Avenue Café, and at the time we were doing shows,” King said. “We would showcase local art and stuff like that, so a lot of times in between shows people would ask me how to get ahold of certain artists.

“So out of that came a need for a small little space where we could all sell our stuff, and here we are.”
