The Lookout Staff Writer Jonah Unger recently spoke with Noah Bright, a sophomore catcher for the LCC baseball team.

Who was your biggest inspiration to start playing baseball, and how old were you when you first started playing?
“My dad was my biggest inspiration to start playing baseball. I started playing when I was 4 and he coached me all the way up until high school.

Who is your favorite baseball team?
“The Detroit Tigers because it is my hometown team.”

Who is your favorite Major League player and why?
“My favorite player has to be Miguel Cabrera because growing up, he was my idol.”

What is your favorite thing about baseball as a sport?
“The challenge of the sport. The best baseball players in the world fail 70 percent of the time at the plate. That just shows how tough the sport is.

What is your favorite thing about playing for LCC?
“My favorite thing about playing for LCC is how much of a family we are. We all love each other and have a ton of fun on the field.”

What do you intend on improving most as a player?
“Improving my hitting and becoming the best hitter I can be.”

What is your major?
“I am getting my general associate degree from LCC.”

What are your plans after LCC?
“Next year I will be transferring to the University of Richmond to play Division 1 baseball.”
