Art’s Pub, located at 809 E. Kalamazoo St. in Lansing, serves a wide variety of upscale bar food. Its hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, but the food service stops at 9 p.m.
Art’s Pub also serves seasonal and trending new beers daily for its customers, and is the home of what the staff refers to as the “Beer Shooper,” which is 32 ounces of your favorite beer for a great price.
Art’s Pub is known for its amazing pizza and pub grub, including burgers, nachos, loaded fries and more. Although I did not get the pizza this time around, I have had it before in all of its cheesy deliciousness, so I already knew how good it is.
My boyfriend and I recently had a date night in, and ordered Art’s Pub food to-go. I got the Caribbean Chicken Grinder with spicy mozzarella sticks and he got The Other Guys Pulled Pork with voodoo loaded fries.
The Caribbean Chicken Grinder was way too spicy for me to handle. Mind you, I do love and gravitate toward spicy things, so this doesn’t happen often. It had amazing flavor and was extremely savory, but was just too hot for me to finish.
The spicy mozzarella sticks, however, were the stars of the night for me. They were so, so good and had just the right amount of heat, cheese and breading.
My boyfriend said his pulled pork sandwich was extremely good, too. The voodoo loaded fries he got were shareable with two eggs, pulled pork, scallions, and gravy topped onto some fresh thick-cut fries.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to expand their tasting experiences and try out something new, as well as for people who love a good pulled-pork sandwich or pizza.
