Piece of Mind: New school, new job
By Alexandra McCluskey
Staff Writer
Hello there. My name is Alexandra McCluskey, a first-semester biology major here at
Lansing Community College.
I consider myself to be a passionate and creative, yet quiet person, and it definitely shows in my interests and hobbies. I absolutely love to read; I can curl up with a blanket and a good book for hours on end and be perfectly happy.
However, it’s also physically impossible for me to separate myself from my love of movies and TV shows! I’m somewhat of an artist, mostly for myself, but I’ve found that LCC’s campus is the perfect place to listen to music and draw.
I also love to write, which led to me to become a member of The Lookout staff.
I recently moved up here a couple of months ago, and had been looking for a job. Luckily, I heard that LCC offers jobs for students. I jumped online and went to lcc.edu, searched for “student jobs” and found the listing for “staff writer.”
I was surprised by the number of jobs LCC has to offer, and I’m glad I found one that fits for me. I’m really looking forward to furthering myself as a writer, along with experiencing my first year of college.
