Short-term Training Scholarships

Short-term training funding is available to eligible participants, including those enrolled in programs offered through LCC’s Job Training Center.

Michigan Reconnect Short-term Training Program Scholarship

Provides a one-time payment up to $1,500 towards eligible short-term training program tuition in 2024.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Age 21 or older
  • Michigan resident
  • Have obtained a high school diploma or GED
  • Have not yet obtained an associate or bachelor’s degree


Michigan Reconnect Short-Term Training Program

Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship

Provides up to $2,000 per year (for a maximum of two years) for eligible career training program tuition in 2024 and beyond.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Michigan resident
  • Have obtained a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or after
  • Have not yet obtained an associate or bachelor’s degree
