Understanding Your Student's Rights and Privacy
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 regulates to whom the college may release information about a student's educational records. It prohibits the college from releasing students' information to anyone other than the student, even parents or spouse, without the student's written consent. To learn more about FERPA at LCC, visit the Notification of Student Rights under FERPA.
Campus Safety
The educational
environment, including the safety of students, is of
paramount importance to LCC. We maintain our own Police
department, including sworn officers and auxiliary
officers who operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Visit the Department of Public
Safety, to learn about the many services they
provide.
