The Library has a variety of spaces students, faculty, and staff can reserve. See what types of rooms are available, read the Room Use and Reservation Guidelines, or contact us with questions about reservations. There is also open study space in the library and a Meditation Room.

Individual Study Rooms

Reserve a Study Room

  • Lending Period: 2 hours
  • 1-2 students
  • Perfect for quiet study
  • Some rooms include a scanner or a window
  • All rooms include a computer. Most have PCs. Two rooms with Macs are available.
  • Software in Study Rooms

Group Study Rooms

Reserve A Group Study Room

  • Lending Period: 2 hours
  • 2-6 students
  • Collaborative work
  • Computer access varies depending on the room. Rooms range from 0-2 computers.
  • TLC 224 can accomodate up to 20 people.

Accessibility Room

Reserve Accessibility Room

  • Lending Period: 2 hours
  • 1-2 students
  • Room includes accessibility software and hardware including Jaws Screen Reader, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Natural Reader, Duxbury Braille Translator, and the Romeo Pro 50 Braille Embosser.
  • Students must be registered with the Center for Student Access to use the equipment in the room.
  • The Jaws and Dragon Naturally Speaking software can also be found in the TLC and West Campus Computer Labs.

Gaming Rooms

Reserve A Gaming Room

  • Lending Period: 1 hour
  • 1-4 students
  • One gaming room has a Wii U, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4. The other gaming room has an Oculus Rift virtual reality system.
  • You can check out a selection of Wii, Wii U, PS3, and PS4 games at the Multimedia Desk.
  • Gaming room is first come first serve.
  • There is no food allowed in the gaming rooms.
  • Games saved on the gaming systems may be removed.
  • Only library games can be used in the Gaming Room. Do not purchase or download content from the PlayStation Store, the Wii Shop Channel, or the Oculus Store.

3D Printing Rooms

Reserve A 3D Printing Room
  • Lending Period: 4 hours
  • 1-2 students
  • Rooms include a Dremel 3D40 printer
  • Please leave door open while printing

Room Use Guidelines

  • All patrons must have a valid photo ID to check out a room.
  • Please leave the room as you found it.
  • You may be asked to vacate the room if you reservation time has expired or if you are using the room inappropriately.
  • You will receive one warning to quiet down and then you will be asked to leave.
  • Please do not leave personal belongings unattended. You are responsible for your personal belongings.
  • All computer and gaming use must comply with LCC’s  PDF File Acceptable Use Policy.
  • All files on saved on computers are removed when you log off.

Room Reservations

  • You must have a photo ID to make reservations.
  • Room reservations must be made at least one day in advance and up to one month in advance by telephone, in person, and online.
  • Rooms may be reserved in two hour increments.
  • You may reserve one room per day.
  • Reservations are posted daily outside each room.
  • Please arrive within 15 minutes of your reservation or it may be cancelled.
