Although originally from Tennessee, I was primarily raised in Jackson prior to moving to Corpus Christi, Texas in high school. I was a little unsure of what to do after high school, so I enlisted in the Air Force. I was an aircraft mechanic and stationed in Alaska during my tour. (I worked on A-10s...best plane ever!) I have lived a few different places around the country over the years (Alaska, Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, and Florida). A few years ago, I decided to return to the Jackson area to be near family.

Since that time, I have worked at several agencies in the Jackson area doing prevention work with school and court programs. I also worked as a wraparound facilitator and home-based counselor. Prior to joining the team at LCC, I worked almost 10 years with Reentry Project for Offenders with Special Needs where I coordinated services for people with special needs paroling from prison in Washtenaw, Monroe, and Livingston Counties.

I received my B.S. Degree in Social Science from Troy State University. I have a M.A. in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).

When I am not working, I spend time with my family, friends, and my dogs. I love playing golf (even though I am not very good) and traveling. Over the past few years, I have taken several trips around the country including a couple to Hawaii to see my daughter who is in the Navy and stationed on Oahu. My favorite way to travel is by taking road trips...sometimes by car and sometimes on the back of a Dyna wide glide (sat on that all the way to Key West and Maine).
