NOTES:
1. Grand Valley State University (GVSU) honors the MACRAO Transfer Agreement.
   Students whose transcripts are endorsed as "MACRAO Satisfied" will only be 
   required to meet the following GVSU Provisos:
   a. demonstrate proficiencies in math [fulfilled with MATH 112 at LCC]
   b. two cultural classes [fulfilled with CHOICE 1 and 2 above]
   To use MACRAO, students should request a MACRAO evaluation of their transcript
   from the LCC Registrar's Office.  Students who do not satisfy MACRAO will have
   to satisfy the GVSU General Education Requirements. 
2. GVSU accepts a maximum of 62 transferable credits. The GVSU transfer admission
   grade point average is 2.50.  LCC courses other than those appearing on this 
   guide should be checked for transferability to the four-year institution.
3. Degree offered:  Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
4. GVSU requires 120 credits for the bachelor's degree.  Although this program 
   is completed with over 62 credits, 58 credits are still required at GVSU and 
   should work with a GVSU advisors when making LCC course selections.  Transfer
   may occur prior to the completion of this guide.
5. Physicists are usually employed in research and development laboratories in
   industry, private institutions, and government.  The physicist will normally 
   be working as a part of a team of scientists and engineers in such research 
   fields as energy, superconductivity, low temperature, optics, atomic and 
   nuclear phenomena, radiation, and computers.  A physics degree is also 
   excellent background for positions or further education in such fields as 
   medicine, law, business administration, teaching, and engineering.

   requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the

7. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
   writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
   Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
