Before orientation, you must:
- Apply to the college
- Activate your account
- Establish Placement levels
- In order for Academic Advisors to assist students with a creating a customized first semester plan of courses, placement levels for reading and writing must be established before registering for orientation.
- Verify that you have established placement levels by logging into your MyLCC account, clicking the "Profile" tab, and looking under "Placement Test Scores".
- Register for the session you will be attending: You will receive a confirmation email after registering. Please check that you have received this and verify the date to confirm that you have successfully registered for the session.
Parents and Guests
Orientation sessions are designed for new students. We welcome parents and others who will be supporting a student as they transition to college, however, priority for space will be given to new students. Thank you for understanding!

Students are strongly encouraged to contact LCC's Center for Student Access for accommodations at orientation or in the classroom.
Need to reschedule? Simply sign up for another date. There is no need to notify us.
