What skills are necessary to be successful in an online course?

Online courses are not for everyone.  A student needs to be self-disciplined and be able to organize their time efficiently because there is not a required class time.  Students will need to plan times during the week to work on their courses.  Some students prefer the more structured environment of traditional courses.
