Author and New York Times Columnist Anand Giridharadas to Visit LCC

WHO:

Author and New York Times columnist Anand Giridharadas, in conjunction with LCC's common read initiative, One Book One LCC. The public and media are welcome to attend.

WHAT:

Giridharadas will discuss his book, "The True American," and the themes of racism, immigration, and learning what it means to be a true American in an exploration of the American dream. Seating during the speech will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets for the reception and book signing can be reserved online through April 14. Preapproved media may attend without a ticket.

Giridharadas writes for The New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, and The New York Times Magazine on subjects ranging from poverty and democracy to terrorism and the social consequences of technology.

6-7:30 p.m. Public Speech: The True American

WHERE:
