Getting Materials Delivered

Current students and employees can have library materials delivered to off-campus learning centers.

What Can be Delivered

  • Books from LCC Library
  • Materials requested from other libraries with MeLCat or interlibrary loan

What Cannot be Delivered

Course reserves, textbooks, reference books, magazines, newspapers, journals, and multimedia equipment (iPads, laptops, Kindles).

Where Can Materials be Delivered?

Items can be delivered to four off-campus learning centers:

  • The Student Services Desk at West Campus
  • The reception desk at LCC East
  • The reception desk at Livingston County Center
  • The reception desk at LCC North

How to Request Delivery

LCC Materials

  1. Locate the item in the library catalog.
  2. Click on the "Request" button.
  3. Log in to My Account with your username and password.
  4. Choose a pick-up location from the drop-down list.
  5. Click the "Submit" button

You will receive an email at your LCC email account letting you know when the materials will arrive.

Materials from Other Libraries

For off-campus delivery of materials from another library, first request the materials with MeLCat or interlibrary loan. Then, call the Library Checkout Desk at 517.483.1626 or send an email to library@lcc.edu and let staff know:

  • Your name.
  • The title of the item.
  • The location you would like the item sent to.

You will receive an email at your LCC email account letting you know when the materials will arrive.

How Long it Takes

Your request will be processed the next weekday after it is placed. 

You will receive an email at your LCC email account letting you know the material was sent and when it should arrive. It can take up to two weekdays to receive an item.

Where to Return Materials

Please return all borrowed materials to the location where you picked them up or to the Checkout Desk in the Library.
