Over a thousand eAudiobooks are available through the NetLibrary
database. eAudiobooks can be downloaded and listened to on a computer or
a portable listening device.

Follow the steps below for accessing and downloading eAudiobooks, read the help from NetLibrary, or print the eAudiobooks Quickstart Guide (PDF).
Accessing and Downloading eAudiobooks

To access eAudiobooks through NetLibrary you will first need to create a NetLibrary account.
To create an account from on campus go to: www.netlibrary.com and click on the Create a Free Account link in the upper right corner of the page.
To create an account from off campus go to the following page for instructions: www.lcc.edu/library/off-campus-class-services/netlibrary.aspx

After you create an account, click Log In at the upper left of the screen to log in to NetLibrary.

Click on the Audiobooks Center link on the right side of the page to search available audiobooks.
When you find an eAudiobook you would like to download, click the Download this Audiobook link.
Select an option for download (CD Quality is required for listening to eAudiobooks from a portable listening device).
The eAudiobook will automatically download or you will receive instructions on how to manually download it.

Open the eAudiobook on your computer to activate the borrowing license. This must be done prior to transferring the eAudiobook to a portable listening device.
Listen to the eAudiobook on your computer or transfer the eAudiobook to a portable listening device.
What eAudiobooks are available? How many can I check out at one time?
This symbol represents eAudiobooks in the library catalog. From the
Advanced Search tab, you can limit your search by format to eAudiobooks.
Once you find an eAudiobook, you can play it or check it out and
download it to your computer. This gives you access to the eAudiobook
for 21 days. You can check out up to 10 eAudiobooks at a time.

What software do I need to download and listen to eAudiobooks?
You need Windows Media Player 9.0 or above and a high-speed Internet connection for CD Quality Download.
Which portable listening devices work with eAudiobooks?
To see if your portable listening device is compatible with our
eAudiobooks, you can view a complete list of portable listening devices
tested by
NetLibrary.
I don't have a portable listening device, can I listen to an eAudiobook?
You can download and listen to eAudiobooks on library computers or your home computer.
How do I save my place in an eAudiobook?
If you are listening to an eAudiobook on your computer, write down the time displayed in Windows Media Player before you stop listening to the book. Then you can start listening in the same place again later.
If you are listening to an eAudiobook on an portable listening device, some players allow you to set up bookmarks. Other players allow you to pause and start at the same place the next time that you turn the player on.
How do I skip to the next chapter in an eAudiobook?
It is not possible to move from chapter to chapter in a NetLibrary eAudiobook because eAudiobooks are saved as one large file. Instead, you can use fast forward to move to the next chapter.
