Recycling Programs

Recycle dead batteries

LCC has made arrangements to have a battery recycling pick-up location right here on campus.

The areas listed below now have battery recycling receptacles.  All you have to do to take part is bring in your dead batteries and place them in one of the receptacles.  The batteries recycling lead people will take care of the rest.  Contact recycling lead people for receptacle locations. All types of batteries may be recycled except car batteries.

If your area currently has a battery recycling program in place and would like to be added to this list, please contact Brian Pickford at pickforb@lcc.edu or 483-5379.

Recycle used cell phones and accessories

This program is only for cell phones not currently being recycled in other programs.

Place the old phone and phone accessories into an interdepartmental mail envelope and send to Jeri Conely-Tunell in HHS #108.

Recycle used ink jet and laser printer cartridges

This program is only for non Konica cartridges.  We have a recycle program established for these on campus just place back in box mark used and place with other recycle bins

When changing your cartridge, put the used cartridge into the box the new one came in or a plastic bag. Then, put it into an interdepartmental mail envelope and send to Brian Pickford at mail code 3100.

Recycle old eye glasses

Old prescription eyeglasses can be recycled through the Lions Club.  A receptacle for used eyewear is located just outside of the LCC Parking & ID counter, 2nd floor Gannon Building.
