Please complete these seven steps to register.
- Register for a Star Port Account -
Star Port is your access point for all systems on campus.
Request an account if you don't already have one.
- Click on the link for Request NEW
STUDENTS/NEW TO STAR Port www.lcc.edu.
- Complete all of the information.
- A technology user ID (TUID) will be provided
to you on the screen.
- You will be directed to log-in to Star Port.
- New Students - Complete the
Admissions Process
- Log onto your newly created Star Port
Account.
- Click on the New Students tab.
- Click on the link in the Apply and Register
section.
- Select the Admissions tab and click CREATE.
- Establish required placement levels in reading,
writing and math - Many classes at LCC have levels
in reading, writing and math that need to be established in
order to register. For more information on placement testing
please visit
http://www.lcc.edu/assessment/
- Seek Academic Advising - for help
with selecting courses, contact an advisor. Visit
www.lcc.edu/advising or email an online advisor at
online_info@lcc.edu or
call 517-483-1880
- You must have access to the Internet
- You must have access to a computer with an Internet connection
to take an online course.
- Beginning with the Spring 2008 semester, all
LCC students will be assigned an LCC email
account; this is the email address that will be
used for all college and course communications.
Your LCC email address will be TUID@mail.lcc.edu.
- You may use computer labs at LCC's main
campus, West Campus, or Howell's Livingston
County Center on a limited basis.
- Register on the web - go to
www.lcc.edu and log onto Star
Port. Click on the link in your eToolBox for the student system.
- Sign up for Orientation - At the
beginning of the semester, orientation sessions are held for
online students. You can take these sessions either online or
on-campus. For orientation information, please contact Michelle
