Dance courses are available in four genres - ballet, modern, jazz and tap - for beginners as well a those wanting to transfer into a university dance program. LCC prides itself on teaching students not only the correct movement but also the 'why' behind the movement. You will learn best practices so that you can continue dancing for the rest of your life. You will become an educated dancer, using critical evaluation to determine how specific techniques affect your body. Performance opportunities such as our main stage productions, our intimate and informal open house or dance club productions and high school shows round out our students experience. A close relationship exists with many of the professional dance companies around the area and internships are available for interested and dedicated students.
