Curriculum Code: 0829  (Effective Fall 2001 - Summer 2006)

The program is designed to prepare students for employment as a Teacher
paraprofessional. Required courses provide an introduction to educational
concepts as well as a practical experience in an elementary school classroom.
Courses in this program are applicable to the Associate in Arts Degree with a
concentration in Elementary Education. Students planning to transfer should see
an academic advisor or counselor before enrolling in any course.

The certificate program can be completed in two semesters.  Students should see
course descriptions to find out when departments plan to offer courses. Students
