Assessment Center

Faculty Information Page

The Assessment Center is available to faculty who require their  student (s) to take an exam outside of the classroom.  If you teach an online course, a hybrid course, or have a student who needs to make up an exam you can utilize the resources of the Assessment Center. 

Services for faculty:

Services not provided for Faculty:

  • Exams for entire class groups that meet face to face
  • Score entry for courses
  • Exam grading
  • Course evaluations
  • Collecting or returning student journals, homework, and/or projects

Information required by instructors

Faculty are required to review faculty polices and complete the sign-off form (pdf).  One coversheet per exam should be completed when dropping off exams to be proctored at the Assessment Center or at proctored site.  Make sure that the instruction coversheet is complete and accurate

 If student is caught cheating (Test Security)
Policy is currently under review, however an incident report will be filled out and sent to the instructor if student is caught cheating. 

 What to tell students
In order to serve students to the best of our ability, we ask that instructors inform their students on what to say when they come to the Assessment Center.  Each student should know the following:

  • Instructor's Name
  • Course Name
  • Test # or Name (e.g. midterm, test#2)

 Also, please communicate to your students that they will be required to present one of the following forms of picture identification for testing at the Assessment Center: ( the pictures must be current)

  • Driver's License
  • LCC Star card
  • MSU student ID card
  • Any ID card from a school, provided it has the student's name and a current picture on it.
  • Work ID with name and picture
  • Passport
