The LCC Science Department
has received a 400-piece collection of minerals and fossils, donated by the
family of Gilbert J. Thill, of Milwaukee. Mr. Thills youngest son, Ron, is a
chemistry professor at LCC. The collection is valued at more than $40,000.
Youre invited to attend the
official donation ceremony at a reception where a small sampling of the
collection will be on display.

The specimens will be used by
professors in the classroom as well as on display for students, visitors and
the general public. You can view the collection after November 15 in the
Academic Resource Center, 4th floor, A&S Building as well the
LCC Physics Lab. The exhibits will be rotated periodically to assure maximum
exposure.
